Walsrode, 14.08.2006 – As part of his this year’s summer tour, the Prime Minister of Lower Saxony, Christian Wulff (CDU) today visited the Juwi MacMillan Group and the Flora Farm in Bockhorn, near Walsrode. Wulff was most impressed by the success and entrepreneurial flair displayed by the company’s founders. "Lower Saxony is proud to have such an innovative company" said the Prime Minister.
In a short presentation, Peter Jungblut-Wischmann, director of the Juwi MacMillan Group, summarized the rise of the agency, which specializes in Pharma- and Healthcare-Marketing. The Juwi MacMillan Group has its headquarters, along with the Flora Farm, on an historic estate near Walsrode.
With over 100 people employed at the group’s three locations – Walsrode, Hamburg and Hanover, the Juwi MacMillan Group is already in the top five of agencies in the healthcare market. "The Flora Farm was our first customer“, said company founder Peter Jungblut-Wischmann. "With this first project, we wanted to show how unconventional methods lead to success. And when we advise leading international pharmaceutical concerns, our recipe for success still lies in conceiving and realizing innovative marketing strategies".
Prime Minister Wulff continued, "Many experts believe that the issues driving economic development in the next few years will, after IT, be the health and wellness market. I think this belief has substance and I’m delighted that, with companies like the Juwi MacMillan Group and Flora Farm, Lower Saxony is leading the field".
On a subsequent guided tour of the Ginseng Garden, the cultivation and the strengthening health effects of ginseng were explained to the Prime Minister; a big bite from a ginseng root he’d dug out himself set him up for the rest of the day!
Farmer Heinrich Wischmann’s Ginseng Garden is unique in Europe. On about seven hectares, Korean ginseng is cultivated and grown to medical quality. Ginseng is also sold in the form of root, capsules and cosmetics directly from the estate courtyard. The enterprise, which attracts many tens of thousands of worldwide visitors every year to the Ginseng Garden and the Ginseng Café, is managed by his daughter Gesine Wischmann.
